Itinerary

​

Sunday - arrival in Tel-Aviv.  Dinner in town.

Monday - spend the morning cycling round this amazing city.  Afternoon walk the Caesarea ruins, and overnight in Haifa.

Tuesday - Visit the Bahai Gardens, cable car down to the Rosh Hanikra grottoes, and ride the northern road, seeing Crusader castle.  Overnight in the northern Galilee.

Wednesday - Winding roads take you to the Hula Nature Reserve, home to migrating birds.  Visit the Banias spring and walk the site of a major battle in Israel's recent history.  Transfer to the Golan.

Thursday - Viewpoint into a quiet section of Syria from a mountaintop, walk the IDF bunkers from the Yom Kippur War, traverse the Golan by bike with a stop for wine tasting.  Wonderful views over the Sea of Galilee, where we stay overnight.

Friday - Cycle round the Sea of Galilee, and visit impressive churches and ancient synagogues.  Transfer to Jerusalem.

Saturday - Morning walking tour in the Old City, free afternoon.   Night ride around town.

Sunday - An exhilirating road into the desert takes you down to the lowest point on earth.   Explore the Ein Gedi nature reserve and stay near the Dead Sea.

Monday - we ride to the Masada fortress, a UNESCO site, and walk among ancient palaces and living quarters, enjoying views over the Dead Sea.  Enjoy an afternoon dip and float in the salty water, transfer south.

Tuesday - ride through the unique Ramon Crater, largest Makhtesh in the world, and view the moonscape as you ride.   We complete the entire crater, and return for another night in Mitspe Ramon.

Wednesday - we drive north, walk the scenic Ein Avdat desert oasis, and arrive after lunch in Tel-Aviv, where we have our farewell dinner.

Thursday - it's time to depart !
